This week, as we gather with our loved ones for Thanksgiving, we want to take a moment to reflect on gratitude and share the impact of your support.
Recently, members of the Make A Difference Foundation and volunteers from Arizona traveled to Israel to provide much-needed resources and comfort to soldiers on the front lines. Our mission took us to the Yalom Unit, an elite team tasked with investigating and fighting within tunnels as deep as 80 yards underground. These soldiers face unimaginable challenges every day, yet their bravery and determination never falter.
Touring the Tunnels
During this trip, our team attended field lectures, learning about the ongoing battles in the South and North of Israel. We saw confiscated weapons seized from Hamas and Hezbollah, which underscored the constant threats these soldiers face. We also toured the practice tunnels where IDF warriors train for combat in the tight, wet, and uncomfortable spaces that mimic the real tunnels they operate in.
Spending Time with Heroes
A highlight of the trip was providing warm meals and essential equipment to over 600 IDF soldiers, including the 30% of women warriors fighting alongside their male counterparts in these tunnels. Many of these soldiers hadn’t had a proper meal in weeks.
Thanks to your support, we were able to serve meals that nourished not just their bodies but also their spirits. Sharing this time with them was a powerful reminder of why our mission matters so deeply.
Perhaps the most moving part of the trip was the opportunity to connect with these warriors on a personal level. Sharing meals, handing out gear, and hearing their stories firsthand allowed us to show our gratitude and remind them that they are not alone in their fight.

A Thanksgiving Message of Gratitude
As we celebrate Thanksgiving here in the U.S., we are deeply grateful for you—our supporters, donors, and volunteers. Your generosity makes it possible for us to provide life-saving gear, warm meals, and moments of hope to Israel’s heroes. This holiday, we give thanks for the opportunity to serve those who serve, and for the community that makes our mission possible.
Together, we can ensure these brave men and women have the support they need to face any challenge. Thank you for standing with us and with them.
