Sometimes, making a difference means providing essential protective equipment. Other times, it’s sharing a warm meal, offering encouragement, or reminding someone far from home that they are appreciated.
This month, we’re sharing two wonderful examples of your generosity in action, along with an important opportunity to continue supporting Israel’s wounded warriors.
A Special Sukkot Celebration for Lone Soldiers
During the recent Sukkot holiday, Make A Difference Foundation’s Israeli volunteers organized a special barbecue for lone soldiers in Jerusalem, providing a hot holiday meal, protective eyewear, essential supplies, and something equally meaningful: a sense of belonging.
Lone soldiers are young men and women who have come to Israel without immediate family nearby, choosing to serve in the Israel Defense Forces. Their commitment is extraordinary, but holidays can be especially difficult without loved ones close by.
Our volunteers wanted these soldiers to feel cherished, supported, and appreciated.
Special thanks to Adam Shuster, Drora Shuster, and all our Israeli MADF volunteers who worked so hard to make this celebration possible.
Adam also received this Certificate of Appreciation from the Chabad of Rechavia IDF Lounge in Jerusalem, recognizing his generosity and contributions to the special Soldiers’ Evening event.
Bringing Our Mission Home to Arizona
Closer to home, Aaron and Sel Shuster recently spoke about Israel and the work of Make A Difference Foundation at a gathering of the Friends of Israel, Sun Lakes Jewish Congregation.
They shared MADF’s mission with approximately 100 attendees, helping more people understand the ongoing needs of Israel’s soldiers and families.

The gathering also resulted in a generous donation to the Foundation!
We’re deeply grateful to the congregation for its warm welcome, generosity, and commitment to making a difference.
This Month’s Priority Need: Supporting Wounded Warriors
While we celebrate these meaningful moments, our mission continues.
For many Israeli soldiers, returning home from combat begins another difficult journey. Physical rehabilitation, emotional healing, and rebuilding everyday life can take months or years.
Our proposed November goal is to support rehabilitation outreach visits, bringing personal encouragement and practical assistance to wounded soldiers during recovery.
A visit, a conversation, or a thoughtful gesture can remind someone facing a difficult road that their sacrifice has not been forgotten.
Yes! I want to help bring hope and encouragement to a wounded Israeli soldier.
Every gift becomes protection, encouragement, or hope for someone serving on the front lines or recovering from the sacrifices of service. Thank you for helping us make a difference.
A Season of Gratitude
As Thanksgiving approaches, we’re especially grateful for the soldiers who serve, the families who stand beside them, and the volunteers and donors who make our work possible.
From a holiday meal in Jerusalem to a gathering of friends in Arizona, your kindness reaches farther than you may ever realize.
Thank you for being part of this mission.

With gratitude,
