During our recent trip to Israel, the Make A Difference Foundation was deeply honored to receive a special award from the Yalom Unit, Israel’s elite tunnel unit. These brave warriors, who navigate and fight in underground tunnels as deep as 80 yards, face some of the most dangerous and challenging conditions imaginable.
The award was presented in gratitude for the Foundation’s commitment to going above and beyond in supporting this critical unit. From providing warm meals to delivering essential equipment, the Yalom Unit recognized the Foundation’s role in helping them carry out their mission under incredibly difficult circumstances.
Feeding over 600 warriors, including many women serving alongside their male counterparts, was not just a mission—it was an honor. Spending time with these soldiers and learning about their dedication reinforced why our work is so important.
This acknowledgment fuels our commitment to continue standing with the IDF soldiers who protect Israel every day. It’s a reminder that every donation and every act of support matters to those on the front lines.
Thank you for your invaluable contribution to fortifying and strengthening the security of the State of Israel, as well as uplifting the morale of its soldiers.

It is the story from the Bible where the Jewish people sent 12 Spy’s into the land of Israel to check it out. Ten spy’s said that the Jewish people should not enter into the land of Israel because of the giants that live there and that it was too dangerous. Two of the spy’s said that it is the land of Milk an honey and that G-d told them to enter and they will be victorious. In the end, the Jewish people did not enter the land and they were all punished by G-d for not entering.
The Special Unit goes behind enemy territory and spy’s on the enemy and reports back to the high command. Very dangerous and Secretive work, highly classified.
Make A Difference Foundation was given an honorary award for the Foundations activities of providing essential equipment, services, support and assistance in dangerous environments to their Unit.
