Heartfelt Encounters with Wounded IDF Soldiers

The soldiers were very happy to receive the gifts from the Make A Difference Foundation. Some chose cell phones, others computer monitors, a few wanted guitars, and other items we were able to purchase. Helping our heroes, wounded IDF soldiers who risked their lives to protect all of us, felt incredible.

On our last trip, a soldier hugged Mitch and said, “People in Israel forgot about us. And you come all the way from Arizona, USA, up to the border of Gaza in the middle of the night, and you make us warm meals and give us much-needed equipment!” This man, a social worker who has not seen his family in five and a half months, left his family and work to serve on the Lebanon border and is now in the South, outside of Gaza. He goes in and out of Gaza. We all cried and hugged each other.

You cannot believe the gratitude the soldiers have shown us. Many of the soldiers are on reserve duty, ranging in ages from 25 to 69. They have left their families and places of work for months on end. They are so grateful, you have no idea!

These experiences highlight the immense gratitude and appreciation our soldiers have for the support they receive. They have sacrificed so much, and anything we can do to help them is vital.
