Not every need can be anticipated.
Some requests come with urgency.
A frontline unit needing specialized equipment.
A soldier preparing for dangerous operations.
A commander asking for gear that could directly improve safety and mission effectiveness.
When those calls come, Make A Difference Foundation does its best to answer.
Real Needs. Real Time. Real Impact.
One recent message of gratitude came from Rabbi Avi Zarbiv — a respected Dayan (rabbinical judge) in civilian life who chose to step forward and serve in Gaza and Lebanon despite being beyond the typical age for duty.
Rabbi Zarbiv, who was honored this year with lighting one of Israel’s Independence Day ceremonial torches, shared heartfelt thanks for support that helped provide drones and specialized equipment that better protect soldiers and improve operational safety.
It’s a powerful reminder that these needs are real — and that support saves lives.
We also recently saw the impact of a generous donation that helped provide Level FOUR protective vests and critical equipment to soldiers serving on the northern front — delivered through the family of one of the warriors in active service.
An Urgent Call From the Front
Now, another urgent request has come in.
Yaakov Cabelio of the 931 Nahal Infantry Brigade, currently facing ongoing Hezbollah threats, shared that soldiers operating on foot in Lebanon are carrying bulky, outdated protective vests that make dangerous missions even harder.
The extra weight, poor fit, and strain reduce mobility and increase risk.
His message was simple:
“At any moment we can be called back into combat, and we urgently need proper vests to fight safely and effectively.”

Community Support in Action
A heartfelt thank you to BYC (Best Years Club) for hosting their second annual charity golf tournament in support of Make A Difference Foundation!
Special thanks to Steve Sweberman and Marc Olgin for organizing a fantastic event, and to everyone who participated or donated—even if they couldn’t attend.
Together, the event raised $1,640, which will go directly toward providing high-quality protective eyewear and tourniquets for frontline IDF soldiers in the North and in Gaza—equipment MADF will help hand-deliver directly into the hands of the warriors who need it most.
Your generosity truly makes a difference.

With gratitude,
