The first time a reservist is called up, it feels like an emergency.
By the third… fourth… or fifth time, it becomes something else entirely.
A cycle.
One that pulls them away from their lives again and again — with little notice, and no clear end.
Leaving Everything Behind — Again
Each deployment means stepping away from:
Jobs and businesses
Wives, husbands, and children
Daily routines and responsibilities
They return home briefly — just long enough to begin rebuilding — and then the call comes again.
And they go.

The Israeli military reported that elite troops carried out a rare cross-border raid along the Syria–Lebanon frontier to counter terror activity in the area.
Reservists from the Alpinist Unit navigated difficult, snow-covered terrain from the Syrian Hermon into southern Lebanon, conducting ground sweeps, gathering intelligence, and searching for hostile infrastructure.
The Strain Adds Up
This isn’t just about time away.
It’s the mental fatigue of uncertainty.
The physical wear of repeated service.
The quiet pressure on families trying to hold everything together.
In year three of war, the burden is no longer temporary — it’s ongoing.
From the Front Lines — Yonatan of Religious Reserve Combat Unit Appeals for Life-Saving Plated Vests to Protect Soldiers
“Hi, my name is Yonatan Ben Yisrael and I’m part of a religious miluim combat unit in Israel.”
“We are in dire need of critical supplies such as plated vests to protect us while defending Am Yisrael on the front lines.”
“These vests protect us from shrapnel and bullets when the enemy comes at us during combat operations.”
“Any help you can provide would be very much appreciated as we continue risking our lives to protect our people.”
Why Support Matters More Than Ever
MADF remains committed to supporting these soldiers and their families — helping ease the strain with practical support, care, and connection.
Because in a long war, it’s not just about answering the call once.
It’s about having the strength — and the support — to answer it again.
If you’re able, please consider helping us continue standing with Israel’s reservists.
