The above thank you is from the son of my old army friend Shacar.
Shacar and I served together in the Golani Ranger Unit , Sayert Golani in 1978.
We both participated in the rescue of babies from the PLO terrorists when they crossed the boarder from Lebanon and held a kibbutz kindergarten of babies hostage. The Kibutz is Mis Gav Am.
Shachar was wounded in the rescue.
His son is now in the same unit as we were and is in reserve duty.
I participated in both rescue attempts and saved the life of my officer and a fellow combatant under fire.
One of the babies that we saved, years later served in the army with Jake Bennett.
