A Grandmother’s Gift of Giving
On a recent trip to Israel, a devoted Zionist and proud grandmother brought her entire extended family—children and grandchildren—to experience the Holy Land firsthand. But this was more than just a family vacation. In a powerful act of generosity, this grandmother sponsored a hot meal for a group of Lone Soldiers—young men and women who made aliyah (immigrated to Israel) to serve in the IDF, without any family in the country.
These Lone Soldiers serve bravely and selflessly, far from the support of their loved ones. This grandmother’s mitzvah (good deed) not only fed these heroes, but also set a moving example of leadership, love for Israel, and active service for the next generation of her family.
From purchasing ingredients to strictly kosher-for-Passover preparation and BBQ setup, this meal was handled with care, intention, and deep respect. Our team was honored to support this meaningful moment of connection between a family and Israel’s defenders.
