This Month’s Mission Begins With Vision

Serving Israeli soldiers on and off the battlefield.

Hello!

Every month brings new challenges for Israel’s defenders.

Some needs can be anticipated. Others arise with little warning. But one thing never changes: our commitment to respond quickly with practical support that protects lives and strengthens those serving on the front lines.

Beginning this month, we’re moving to one monthly Mission Update so we can bring you the most meaningful stories, current needs, and the impact your generosity is making, all in one place.

At Make A Difference Foundation, our mission remains the same: identify the need, mobilize support, and get help into the hands of those who need it most.

Mission Focus: Protecting the Eyes That Protect Israel

One of the most requested items from frontline IDF units isn’t the largest or the most expensive.

It’s protective goggles.

For soldiers operating in Gaza, Lebanon, and other active combat zones, their eyes are constantly exposed to flying debris, dust, shrapnel, smoke, and other hazards. A single injury can immediately take a soldier out of the fight and have lifelong consequences.

One out of every ten front line warriors gets eye damage.

That’s why protective goggles remain one of the most essential pieces of equipment MADF provides.

A simple piece of gear.

A lifetime of protection.

From Generous Hearts to the Front Lines

One of the things that makes MADF unique is how quickly support reaches those who need it.

Your donations provide the equipment.

Volunteers traveling to Israel carry protective goggles in their luggage.

Our MADF team in Israel receives them and hand-delivers them directly to frontline soldiers—often within just a few days.

From your generosity…

…to a soldier’s hands.

That’s the power of people working together.

This Week’s Priority Need: Protective Goggles

Goal: Deliver 50 Pairs of Protective Goggles

Protective goggles continue to be one of the most frequently requested items by frontline units because they provide critical protection against battlefield hazards while allowing soldiers to stay focused on their mission.

Every pair funded is hand-delivered by our volunteers to the soldiers who need them most.

Yes! I want to help provide protective goggles. I will support this mission.

Every gift becomes protection, encouragement, or hope for someone serving on the front lines. Thank you for helping us make a difference.

From Grieving Mother To IDF Officer: Einav Danino Continues Her Son Ori’s Legacy

This video shows Einav Danino-Abargel, the mother of Master Sgt. Ori Danino, graduating as an IDF officer. She will now serve in a unit under the IDF Rehabilitation Division and Israel’s Ministry of Defense, where she will help wounded Israeli soldiers rebuild their lives.

Ori was kidnapped by Hamas on October 7, 2023, after returning to the Nova Music Festival to rescue people he had met only hours earlier. After 11 months in Hamas captivity, he was murdered in Gaza.

Last year, at the age of 47, Einav enlisted in the IDF in honor of her son.

At her swearing-in ceremony, Einav said:

“Ori served Israel with courage and pride. I am here because of Ori. He was entirely devoted to his country. I completed the swearing-in ceremony. I am following in Ori’s footsteps.”

Her son, Yitzchak Danino, said, “I am very proud of my mother. She has devoted her life, in memory of Ori, to helping wounded soldiers.” He also remembered Ori as “a light and full of joy.”

Explaining why she chose to dedicate her life to helping wounded soldiers, Einav said:

“They are the ones who fought for Ori and brought his body back to me.”

Through her service, Einav is ensuring that Ori’s legacy of courage, compassion, and sacrifice continues to live on.

Will You Help Protect the Eyes of Israel’s Defenders?

Before another unit heads into the field, let’s make sure more soldiers have the protection they need to see clearly, stay focused, and return home safely.

Donate today and help us deliver 50 pairs of protective goggles to Israel’s frontline defenders.

With gratitude,
